Skip permits
A skip on the road needs permission from the highway authority, Cornwall Council. Your skip company applies for the licence online, as it holds the insurance needed to put a skip on the highway.
If you have space, the council says you must place the skip within the boundary of your property.
Fee: £115 per calendar month (standard); £163 per calendar month for an emergency licence; £115 to extend before expiry, £163 for a late extension
Allow at least 2 weeks for a standard application. A street works inspector may visit to check the location and add conditions.
