Who we are

SkipCheck is an independent directory of skip hire firms, run by Slinkytronic Ltd. Contact: hello@skipcheck.co.uk.

We are not the businesses we list

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any business listed on this site, and we don't carry out any of the work ourselves. The only exceptions are businesses clearly labelled "Partner" or "Featured (paid)", which have an agreement with us; that label is the only sign of a relationship. Any job you arrange is a contract between you and the business you choose.

Listings

Listings are compiled from public sources: Google's business listings, each business's own website and, where we say so, public registers. They may be incomplete or out of date. A listing is not a recommendation. Where we show a certification or registration as "stated", the business says it on its own website and we haven't checked it; "verified" means we checked the named register on the date shown. Please check anything important with the business or the register before you hire.

Enquiries sent through our forms

When you send an enquiry, it comes to us first. We show you the best-matched firms for your job so you can contact them yourself, and we offer the job to firms covering your area that have signed up with us, one at a time. A firm sees a summary first and only receives your details if it accepts; no more than three firms will receive them. We only send an enquiry to a specific named business if that business is a Partner. We can't guarantee that any business will accept or reply, or how quickly. Job offers for businesses

Businesses listed on this site can sign up to receive job offers by email. Each offer must be answered within 4 working hours (8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday), after which it may be offered to another business. If you accept a job, use the customer's details only to respond to that enquiry. Job offers are free during our launch period; we'll tell you before any charge applies, and you can stop receiving offers at any time.

For businesses

If your business is listed, you can ask us to correct your details, stop passing enquiries to you, remove the enquiry form from your listing, or remove your listing altogether. Email hello@skipcheck.co.uk and we'll act within 5 working days. We'll never present your business as working with us unless you have signed up as a Partner.

Using this site

You may use the site for your own, non-commercial purposes. Please don't copy the listings in bulk or use them to send unsolicited marketing. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law, or our liability where it can't legally be limited.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
