Skip permits
A skip on the road needs permission from the highway authority, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. Only a company may apply for a skip permit, not a resident, so your skip firm applies.
Fee: £28 per skip permit (from 1 April 2026), covering a maximum of 2 weeks
The start date must be at least 3 working days after the application, except in an emergency. After 2 weeks a new permit is needed.
